World Heritage There are nine existing Gassho villages.

Gassho Village composed of 23 gassho houses, a World Heritage site

The whole temple is the prefecturally-designated cultural property where the best of wood craving is gathered.

The old temple with a history of roughly 530 years since its establishment by St. Rennyo.

The works of Shiko Munakata, a world-famous printmaker, are permanently exhibited.

Autographs and treasures of St. Rennyo are housed here.

The works which Shiko Munakata worked on during his life as an evacuee in Fukumitsu are mainly exhibited.

The home and atelier where Shiko Munakata lived for six years after wartime evacuation.
